Frequently asked questions
Why is Himalayan rock salt pink?
The characteristic pink hue comes from trace minerals — primarily iron oxide — deposited when ancient seas evaporated over 250 million years ago beneath what is now the Salt Range of Pakistan.
Is Pakistani rock salt food grade?
Yes. Edible grades of Khewra rock salt assay 96–99% NaCl and are supplied with food-safety documentation for table, gourmet, and food-processing use.
Do you supply salt lamps or lamp-grade lumps?
We supply lamp-grade lumps in graded weight bands, as well as finished crafted items, packed in export-grade crating to minimize transit breakage.
